Terms & Conditions
Welcome to the Chapter One website. These Terms & Conditions (also called our Terms of Service) apply to your use of this website and to registering for Chapter One, a pop-up event on 14th October at PVS Mall, Meerut, run by the organisers of Chapter One (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this website or registering, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
1. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated. If you keep using the website or stay registered after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
2. Changes to the Website and the Event
We may change, pause or remove any part of this website at any time. Pop-ups depend on the venue and on many people. If the date, timings, venue or line-up change, we will tell registered exhibitors and visitors using the contact details they gave us, and post the update on @chapter1_meerut.
3. Registration
- You must give true, accurate and complete details when you register, and tell us if they change.
- Exhibitors: registering is a request for a stall, not a booking. Stalls are limited and allocated by us. Stall fees, set-up times and any conditions will be shared with you directly and apply only once you accept them.
- Visitors: registering records your interest and lets us keep you updated. Entry is subject to venue rules and capacity on the day.
- If you tick the consent box, you agree that we may send you event notifications by WhatsApp, SMS, email, RCS and similar channels, including a welcome message on WhatsApp after you register. You can withdraw that consent at any time, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
- We may decline or cancel a registration that is false, incomplete or made on someone else’s behalf without their permission.
4. Information You Submit
You are responsible for everything you send us through the forms or on WhatsApp, including messages and brand details. It must be lawful and must not be misleading, offensive, or infringe anyone else’s rights. Exhibitors are responsible for their own products, stock and any claims they make about them.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
The Chapter One name, monogram, text, design and layout of this website belong to us or to those who have licensed them to us. You may view and share links to the website, but you may not copy, reproduce or use its content for commercial purposes without our written permission. Photographs on the home page are for illustration.
6. Disclaimer of Warranty; Limitation of Liability
The website is provided “as is”. We try to keep it accurate and available but cannot promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or from changes to the event. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have that cannot be excluded under Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
7. Indemnification
If you break these Terms, or if information or products you provide cause a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs we suffer as a result.
8. Termination; Survival
We may suspend your access to the website or cancel your registration if you break these Terms. Sections 4 to 14 continue to apply after that.
9. Governing Law; Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to section 10, the courts at Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, have jurisdiction.
10. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
If a dispute arises, please contact us first. We will try to resolve it in good faith within 30 days. If we cannot, the dispute will be settled by arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue of arbitration will be Meerut, and the language will be English. This does not stop either side from seeking urgent relief from a court.
11. Copyright Complaints
We respect others’ intellectual property. If you believe anything on this website infringes your copyright, contact us with details of the work and where it appears, and we will review it promptly and remove it if appropriate.
12. Virus Protection
We take reasonable care to keep this website free of viruses and harmful code, but we cannot guarantee it. Please use up-to-date security software. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damage caused by viruses or other harmful material.
13. Assignment
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation running Chapter One. You may not transfer yours without our written consent.
14. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any written terms we agree with you as an exhibitor, are the whole agreement between us about the website and registration. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
